About NOVAarts

Welcome to NOVAarts at the Northern Virginia Community College!

“NOVAarts” is NOVA’s nickname for all of the creative arts programs offered across our five comprehensive campuses located in the Washington D.C. area and online.

As a student in NOVAarts, you will study in rigorous and relevant associate’s degree and certificate programs in the visual, performing, and media arts, including: fine arts, graphic design, interior design, photography & media, music, music recording technology, cinema, and theatre. Our immersive programs include courses taught by expert faculty who emphasize portfolio development and audition preparation in a supportive and individualized environment to help you prepare for transfer or employment opportunities locally, regionally, nationally, and even internationally.
